“My husband and I recently built a lake house retreat. We decided we needed some help with a few things that were not in our wheelhouse. We needed a detailed electrical plan, cabinet renderings and layout for our kitchen and downstairs bar area, and selection of flooring. We decided to hire Mary to help us in these areas and we are so glad we did! Mary was so easy to work with and she really listened about my concerns and how our family would use the space. I felt like the footprint of our kitchen was small and compact and Mary took that into consideration when designing our kitchen layout. Now that the space is complete, the space feels very open and useful with open shelves and plenty of working space. It entertains very well and has plenty of storage.
“Mary did an excellent job with our lighting and electrical plan. She thoughtfully considered each room and how much lighting we would need in each area. She thought of floor outlets behind couch areas and bunk lighting complete with USB ports and dimmable night lights.”
“She helped us with our outdoor lighting, placement of fans and can lights, and hook-up for gas grill and appliances in the kitchen. The detailed electrical plans were very useful to the builder and team onsite and for later when some of the switches were drywalled over and we needed to know the location of each switch and outlet.
“And finally, Mary helped us with the selection of our flooring. She really listened to my ideas about how I wanted the house to feel and colors that I liked and even thinking about how to keep floors easy to clean and wear well with lots of guests. We spent a day choosing the flooring and the end result is amazing! Even though the footprint of the bathrooms are small, the glossy and textured tiles and tall shower heads make our bathrooms feel like a spa.
Mary is so professional and confident; she helped make what were hard decisions for us very easy. She really helped us visualize our space and helped us see what the end result would be. I highly recommend her!
